소개
저우언라이(한자: 周恩來, 병음: Zhōu Ēnlái, 훈독: 주은래, 1898년 3월 5일 ~ 1976년 1월 8일)은 중화인민공화국의 혁명가 및 정치인, 그리고 군인이자 외교관이다. 프랑스 유학파 출신이며, 1930년대 대장정에서 활약했다. 1949년 중화인민공화국 건국 이후 총리와 외교부장을 역임하였으며, 1972년 미-중 수교를 이끌었던 인물이기도 하다. 중국인들이 마오쩌둥보다 더 좋아하는 인물로써, 현재까지도 중국인들에게 존경받고 있는 인물이다.

But, ever since modern times most of the countries of Asia and Africa in varying degrees have been subjected to colonial plunder and oppression, and have thus been forced to remain in a stagnant state of poverty and backwardness. Our voices have been suppressed, our aspirations shattered, and our destiny placed in the hands of others. Thus, we have no choice but to rise against colonialism.
